Veteran sniper.. with a jet?

I rarely snipe, but recently I was given the veteran sniper award when flying around in a jet picking off infantry with the machine gun. It came immediately after I gunned down three people on the deck of a carrier. Is this just a bug?

No, you just got to get 20 kills while in that class, it dont matter what you kill people with

indeed, actualy for the sniper it's only 15 kills

Yup does not matter how, if you have the sniper kit, and your commander and you kill 10 people with the artillery guess what you got it, or a jet, or what ever, but you have to be using the kit that you want the medal for.

i have played sniper maybe 5 times. i was commander once and got my basic sniper. wouldve got;n it yesterday n wake if i had 15 hours, i was 1 kill away.

Yea i got the Engineer one that way, i fired off some arty onto some guys, and went to fix my Blown up UVA trailer and i got it, I was like WTF? but i figure out,

i got sniper and special ops veteran badges like that, i was commander on karkand, and walla got both on the same round lol
