    Re: Help

    i also had that problem.

the thing is, that ea's network play automatically gets installed on drive c:\ no matter where you install the game. i installed bf2 on D:\ where i habe about 13 GB of free space and still got that error. if you also did this, the problem might be that there is less than 1600MB on your C:\ drive.
at least that fixed it for me

    hope i could help

you can just go into the regestry and change the location of install files there.

            Re: Help

EA can suggest all they like :)

You need to have the free space on your C: as it seems to be hardcoded into the patch.

People here have tried changing the location of their tmp folder to another drive and also tried unpacking the patch to their D: and installing there but again, it didn't work for everyone.

                Re: Help

                FIX :

                From EA UK Forums :

                Goto
                Start. Run, type regedit

goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, ELECTRONIC ARTS, EA GAMES, BATTLEFIELD 2, Now on the right side you will see a file called InstallDIR.. double click it and change the path to whereever you installed the game

(WARNING: Editing the wrong files in your regiestry will crash your system and force you to reinstall windows. Follow my directions closly.

                  Re: Help

Well easy fix is install to default then no griping i used to make my own directories but i leave it all it default and the computer works better now and less problems with installing and removing programs later.

if u insist in customizing just mess with the start menu
