Another one of these games

So is it just me, or has BF2 become extremely boring and frustrating for the casual gamer? I only play this game about once a week, if that, and I havent played for about 3 week until today. As far as I can see, BF2 has become another one of those games where everyone gets so good at it, it becomes boring.

It's as if no one plays for fun anymore - they just use the most powerful weapons and tactics and acrue as many points as possible. I played Gulf of Oman for about 5 minutes - every single time I spawned, I was killed by a plane bomb within seconds - EVERY TIME. Then I played a bit of that foggy as map (cant remember the name, the one with all the water and little islands, "something Stalemate" I think). Every time I tried to do anything on foot, I was killed by an APC without a chance of fighting back.

Then I played a couple of rounds of Karkand - this wasnt so bad, except almost every death was the result of a 203 or GP30 grenade, and I barely got to fire a shot off because everyone else is so good.

The same thing happened years back with CS, where everyone uses either the M4 or the AWP, and it's boring for the casual gamer who actuall wants to have fun - win or lose. Am I the only one who feels this way?

im enjoying,i dont play for points,but i play well.

i actaully now ply for points since they lowered the point things, but bf2 is still fun as ever..the thing about this game that makes it fun for me is that i invent stuff..(see that post about "wat did u invent in this game"..and copying what commandoes do in movies

Taking your CS example, you just have to find different ways of having fun. I mean, when I played CS (in pubbies) I would use random weapons that nobody would actually dream of using just to fool around. Jumping around with the TMP or Mac-10, better yet the pump shotty. It's all about what you want to do to have fun. The people who APC whore, or noob tube whore obviously have fun since they keep on doing it. So all you have to do is find something that amuses you. If you can't find it, playing something else, since nobody is forcing you to play BF2.

Oh man this brings me back! especially with the old CS. I loved just rushing in on dust2 and spraying with the tmp. even getting a kill for a death I would talk nothing but trash..."OHHHH YOU GOT TMPeD! how you like that you awp whore!"

lol but as for BF2, ive noticed that this ocasionally happens to, but usually a good server or especially a good squad helps lighten up the rounds when you just get toasted.

Dr-X, you are completely right. However, from what I gather you just aren't at the skill level necessary to even compete in the game. Unfortunatley for you, if you don't practice, you will always be a the low end of the steep learning curve.
This IMHO is not a good game for the casual gamer.

It's actually hella fun to play in CS:S and use the MAC-10 or TMP on 25 tick servers since they would completely dominate.

dont play on ranked. trust me unranked is much funner, but i think ranked has some fun if Admins are present. but play on unranked
