i just got the 77.79 driveres and whenever im starting up BF2 it stops at 46% and it says its loading the shaders. whenever i click on video in options then it just quits. help?

Go to add remove programs, remove NVIDIA driver, go to my documents and remove the entire BF2 folder, delete it. Empty recycling bin, reboot. Cancel all trys by windows to load new hardware. Reinstall new 78.01 driver, reboot. Run BF2 it will make a new folder, saves reinstall. See how it goes. The first initial loading of shaders etc, can take several minutes, give it 10min before you stop anything.
PS the ULTRA HIGH BF2 settings do nothing. You are only allowing ULTRA to be added to the list. READ>>> http://www.tweakguides.com/BF2_1.htmlComment

i have windows media center so that why im using those drivers, the website says to do so. and how did you know i was using ultra high settings? i use them cause they make me feel good inside ;-)Comment

u can use the regular windows xp drivers, those work with media center, ive tried them, but right now im using the 78.05 drivers.Comment
