Why are some moving up so many ranks and others not?

Hi,

Before the new patch i was really close to getting Corporal. Dowloaded patch and yep, straight to Corporal and an unlock. The question i have is, i have been reading alot of posts where people are saying they have been promoted 2 or more ranks and are getting all the unlocks etc etc. I was only moved to the next rank which i was about to receive anyway, so how is others are moving up 2 and 3?

And to make it worse, the little white bar that shows how far you have until the next rank has not moved since i downloaded the patch, and i have been playing for several hours since then?

Anyone else have this problem, or can anyone suggest to me why this might be happening?

i was promoted 3 more ranks...
i was at 11000 points when i installed the new patch...
The reqestments for Gunnery sergant is at 8000
maybe the rankingservers are a littke fcked up at the time...

nah. in BFHQ the white bar is not moving.
Go here www.bf2s.com and look at your stats.

i know, wisiting bf2s daily...
the bar havent moved since the new patch was installed...
do you know the requestments for the ranks?

if you were close to corp. you should be gunnery sergant by now...like me...(8000 points)

My god! i just logged in now! LC to GS with 4 unlocks!!! how cool is that, ive hardly played much since and i feel like a vet! Im not so sure i really like this new rank system.
