Kicked, Running modified Content

Got this a couple of days ago, after installing the patch, I uninstalled all my mods, and maps, didn't help. So i Reinstalled the game, and it worked fine until now. Where it has just come back. After playing 2 maps. Last one was wake again, which was also the one it bombed out on the first time.

The only things running are BF2, ZoneAlarm, Logitech Setpoint, TS, NVMixer, And a security alert from windows saying, AV off. Firefox was also open this time.

I do have the BF2 editor installed, and did not remove when i reinstalled.
I have not touched the movies folder this time.

And i don't use hacks.

Any suggestions?

Try manually updating you PB client for BF2.

Download this and run it.

After opening it Add a Game then Check For Updates

Running with ZA active can cause these typs of problems. I turn mine off while gaming. And Firefox can eat up 30MB of system resources with just one window open. The more windows open, the more the memory requirement grows.

Thanks for the tips, Ill try turning off Za, if that doesn't work, ill update pb. Or do both.

As to firefox, ive got enough ram, so its not an issue, and i don't do it normally.

Memory is big with BF2, 1 gig is best. Also video cards, 5700 ultra or better.

Also Try deleting the BF2 folder in my documents and then restart the game as it reloads all system settings.

thank you for the link, they suggest reinstalling, which works, but not for long. As to the pb, i did this the first time, and it updated and continued to kick me.

the rest of the stuff, hardware, is fine. And is not the issue here.

As to deleting the bf2 folder in my documents, anyone reading this thread, make sure you copy it first, this holds all you game profiles, and demo files.

Deleting is not the best thing to be suggesting to a novice computer user.

Im guessing it could either be my resolution (1280x1024) or my modified controls.con file. either way this only started after the 1.03 patch. The game was running perfectly up till then.
