A different patch problem

ever since i installed the patch i couldnt log on it always said "could not connect a socket" before it could log on. i have scaned for crap, updated everything and tried reinstalling so many times.This reatrded patch messed it up and i wanna know how to fix it

I take my firewall down before i boot up the game so nope

Hey Dark, did you try opening any ports if you are on router, i did that earlier and iam good now. Really weird though. I am getting sick of games period, they cant even make anything good.

Dark, it isnt rocket science anyone can do it and you cant damage your system and you can always reset your orginal settings.

Dark,

If you have a router you need to open the ports for BF2, which i found on the BF2 site. But if that doesnt work i dont know what to tell you becuase you arent being all that clear as to your problem.

Haha, I remember when a 'friend' were fighting to get AMXmod to CS and when he finally grabbed it he were going to open a server but he had a router so he needed to open ports.

But his mother didn't allow him since she said "If you mix with the router then all hackers and viruses get access to the computer".

And they even had a firewall behind the router..

Kind of dumb family, that kid is a retard too.
