Weapon Unlock Difficulty

I'm a new player with 2 chars with 2 unlocks each. After reading up on the weapons, I'm ready to give some of them a try, starting with the G36C that people rave about.

My noob problem is in how to USE the G36C that I just unlocked. I'm embarassed, but I just can't figure it out. The weapon shows as being unlocked on the BFHQ Kit Info screen (has the unlocked icon), but nothing I do seems to make it available when I'm playing the game.

I'm assuming that done correctly, the G36C will show as my rifle when I cycle through the Kit Equipment at the top right.

However, nothing I've left-clicked, right-clicked, TABed, Entered, or Dragged on the Kit Info screen seems to insert the G36C into my equipment. I'd appreciate some detailed instructions on what to click or drag to make my unlock available.

I'm in the BFHQ, on the Kit Info page, on the Special Forces soldier, have the People's Liberation Army selected, my rifle on the top right is listed as the QBZ-97, under Kit Unlock my rifle shows as the G36C and has the 'unlocked' icon.

When selecting your kit in the game (at spawn time), you will see a little button to the top right of each gun, with a "double arrow" kind of icon. Clicking this button will switch between the stock and unlocked weapon.

There is an arrow thing next to the kit, that you press.

theres a orange arrow blinking at the kit selection screen in a game... j/ click the arrow and bam there it is...
