Alright since the new patch came out I lag like S*IT. I mean I look on xfire and it says 60 ping then I go in put in the ip join the server and I am getting 300+ plus.... When I do a update for the server list it's 300+ for the ones in Europe and I live in Canada and the West side server are 2000+ I didn't have any lag problem before the match. Is it my computer or is it EA?

i keep on gettin "there is a problem with your connection" message after the new patch. Im in the UK. never had a problem with it pre patch.

I live in Canada BC above Seatle.. umm I am talkign about any server I get lag even the usuals that I play on. Even when I follow my clan members in the server when before I would run the game fine but now they all get the same ping as before and now I am getting 300+ plus. I don't think it's my computer because I can run all the other games I play very smoothly like DOD: S, CS: S, and that new F.E.A.R multiplayer demo

yes ive noticed this lag problem as well. I think its EA. Its always there fault

this game never lags for me. then again I have 2GB of ram and a broad band connection

ISP as in internet? I have Cable they say I should have up to like 10 mb/s I mean there was a server I used to play on and I got from 9-16 ping on it but now it's 300+ if it is EA's falt wil they fix it?

Not the only one that lags. I have been okay then just today I have started to lag from 30 ping to a huge 720. I even turn doWn the settings in the game and still it lags. Nothing worse when in a tank and you fall of a cliff. lol :laugh:

Could be down to servers who we play on or is it your ISP server that is slow who knows?

I mean your Internet Service Provider. I have Comcast, for example, and live in the Seattle area. Ping here has been rubbish the past few weeks, as in 150 or so ping to servers in California, when it used to be around 50 max. Talked to some friends in Sacramento and they're having the same problem. If you have Comcast, it's possible that you're experiencing the same thing, and it's no fault of BF2's.

At first I also thought it was my server provider. But been having lags all of the sudden since the patch, and I just tried BF1942, and it is fine. I am starting think it might be something in the patch..... One thing is for sure, this patch is running my Computer alot harder. I had to tone down my setting, so that I get that much comp lags. This never happened in 1.02. From time to time, depending on the server, sometime my Comp is runnning so hard that it lags up for most of the round (Oh btw my rig is 6800GT, 1 Gig ram, AMD 3800).

I've started to lag on full 64 player server since the patch, and the worst map seems to be Mashtuur City. Only used to lag at the beginning when I first joined or the next round/map began.
