BF2 Mutes Mic

Hey guys, my mate has a prob with BF2 and his mic, when he goes in a sever, BF2 mutes his mic (he goes to desktop and sees that it is muted), any ideas on how to stop this?

I don't know if it's the same problem I have or not. My mic is hooked to line-in 2/mic 2, but BF2 checks to see that microphone is selected, thus turning off my mic. Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume Control, click on Options/Properties/Recording and make sure the correct input is selected.

Like Second Gunman said, double check the input is correct. Secondly, run "BF2VoiceSetup" in your BF2 root directory (usually C:/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 2/ ).

If neither of those works, its a server issue. I have had several servers say they support VoIP only to not. EA has to address this with a patch for server fixes. Several companise such as TrinityGaming.com servers already have this fixed.
