Squad Leader Rules

Peronsally i love the squad leader more than commander/member but i hate seeing noobs take no orders from the commander. Maybe if you have some stupid ass commander telling a team made up of a sniper and a MP5 equiped anti tank to rush a main enemy base then yeah, fair enough to say no. But when the commander sits carefully planning a attack while missing out on the carnage, and some twat squad leader turns and says no or just doesnt reply that really ****es me off. PLAY AS A TEAM FOR GODS SAKE!!!! i perosnally find it much more fun, to peek round corners with your team, helping each other and covering each other rather than running solo into a group of 8 MEC's or being mutilated by a APC. If only there was a server where poeple who played solo versued a team where they work together. that would be amazing.

Well i dont like nobs telling pros and noobs alike what to do. You can follow the orders all you want but if I or anyone else is doing something else, or just doesnt want to thats none of your business so "shush"

i hate taking orders such as "Get repairs to this place" cuz no one in my squad is ever an engineer and the commander should kno that...and usually if i give my own orders to attacksomewhere ill just ignore the commander's request cuz i got my own problems

Yeah but only dumb ass commanders ask repair from a squad without engineer...i like servers were people play as a team though. Some servers kick you if you dnot join a team wihtin a certain time right?

yeah lol. They should record a match a put it on TV or summut. Stupid english TV has barely any video game shows though does it. the only one we have is 'Cybernet' and its pretty poor

no...im sorry i have been playing games for years also, i enjoy reading military history and i have to say you both have good points....

Sephiroth you are absolutly correct if there are 2 full squads of 6 men and all of the arty is blown why not ask them to respawn and go fix especially if you are getting taken down by enemy who are useing a heavyly populated enemy route ie if had arty could blow that shizzle out of them and stop attack/counterattack. sure your squad may have your own problems to deal with but as commander i scan all the time and i know where enemy are that you as a squad leader DO NOT. repair arty/uav/satallite = killing more enemy/ knowing where enemy are = resistance followed by succesfull counter measure with success. As i see your point conscriptvirus, but maybe that fixed commander asset will relive the problems you are having.

on the other hand OMFG i hate it when there is a bone head commander who is flying/fighting front line. they are either doing one of two things, not commanding because he/she is too involved in what is in front of him. or having absolutly NO clue about what squads are present and who is in them. i hate those guys but hey what ever if there rank is higher than mine they have more right to the position of commander than I (even if they suck azz at it and only want points).

Solutions thats a hard one, all i know is when im commander i hide and command, i communicate with my squad leaders and i hope they communicate back. i make a point to always let them know supplys are available. I find that if ive communicated well and the squade leader is on the same page, they will follow commands and also feel free to decline them and order their squad to another objective. so we all hate squad leaders who ignore commander orders but at same time do NOT give there squads commades to do anything. this is why in real life it is vital to have a solid chain of command. i enjoy being squad leader and also squad member. I have just more recently started playing commander, but i can tell you on some team play servers it is just awsome to have a team that has multiple squads that listen...some attacking objectives, some are defending points, almost always if its like that our team wins, i feels good to have your army win regardless if commander, squad leader, or squad member.

If anyone wants to flame me...have fun, and oh yea only lame commanders send a solo sniper orders to assault and capture an enemy flag in the heat of a battle...but if there is no enemy and its an outlying post, and sniper is nearby i will send him in, a lot of times you can get these fringe flags solo, especially if commander is watching their back.

I feel that the commander should set UAV's supplies and arty on a squads request, and each squad should do what they like. As long as they consist of a decent number of players and are getting good scores they wont mess up much.

Rather than a commander telling your entire squad to quit the action and go all the way over to the other side of the map to take a flag that nobody even ever spawns from.

Allthough it is annoying when you are commander and not even 1/8 squads can take one god damn flag so you can spawn and fix your equipment. And then they blame you for not doing anything.

Man you can give your opinion all you want. Thats all im doing if the commander is smart or i know him/her ill try to do what they say if they give me UAV ect but most commander tell me to attack spawn points on other side of map while im still attacking one. Now must you be so retarted and making a post telling people what to do. Get a job get promoted to CEO of a company and tell them not the gamers of the world.

I dont see anywhere in my post telling you or the gamers of the world what to do...but commanders are supposed to do what? command isnt this correct? i agree if a sqaud in this case say the [AK] squad is attacking a vital spawn point and being quite succesfull I or a good commander for that matter would never try and tell you/them to stop your assult and move across the map. yea there are fools that. do we all agree they are lame. but at the same time if squad if trying to take a non productive spawn point on a map while the airfields are being capped wouldnt it make sence to retain the air assets that we have and not lose them to the enemy possable giving them two airbases? i didnt mean to offend you venom at all. i just happen to feel that we all have good points about this, and that it makes me a better commander and/squad leader to hear and UNDERSTAND the thought process of my leader or men. and im not a retard by the way except spelling, Im a high functioning moron who went and suffered through 4 years of undergrade and another 4 years of medical school so i can be a resident that makes 1/4 the money of my beer drinking buddys who became buisness majors...ok i stand corrected i am a retard. lol but i do get to stick my hands in a living persons chest and compress there heart sometimes...i guess i got that going for me. hope to see ya all in the servers.
