    Can some one explain (ranks question)

    Why im currently Master Sergeant when i have all my badges and requirements to be 1st sergeant ?

    Admittedly i needed the knife badge to fill all my badges but i got that 2 days ago and still havent got my next promotion ,ive seen guys with 10,000 GP lower than mine with 1st sergeant status


    what gives ?

      You either rank up from Gunnery Sergeant... you go to EITHER master sergaent or 1st sergeant based on if you have all the basic badges. You can not go from Master to 1st. You just pass 1st and then go to ur next onlock.

      Master and 1st are on the same "level" of command.
