Some of you might of already known about this but new game coming out in 2006 , Enemy In Sight.

I am VERY Exited about this game because it's everything I thought BF2 would have and more. (Or so It says)


In one of the screen shots youll see some choppers in a rich green forest. Now that looks kool but will it be laggy?!!!

Some of te maps of taken from real areas around europe even some of the buildings are where they really are in real life.

Take a Read and tell me what you guys think?

Yeah I saw this quite a while back. Awsome looking. I am really looking forward to it. This game has had the least publicity ive seen in alot of games though. Hopin for a video or two. :) That article you posted was from last march.

Rumours claim this will be Codemasters' OFP2.

Seems like the same style but I heard more about Armed Assault becoming OFP2.

Anyway it looks damn sweet. I just looked at an article and it was said that their main site was suppoed to be up in the summer of 2005, which is over. Hopefully its up soon.

Armed Assault is not OFP2, that's a fact. Codemasters own the rights to the name Operation Flashpoint, thus Armed Assault cannot become OFP2 unless BIS re-submit themselves to Codemasters, which is far from happening.

And seeing as Armed Assault, although completely reworked, is still running on the same old engine, and seeing as there already is a new "OFP2" being worked on (currently known as Game2), it would seem even more unlikely that it would be able to replace the title of OFP2.

But yes, Armed Assault sure does look new like that.

I can see why they arn't releasing the game, it doesn't match up with next gen, maybe a little graphical improvement, some videos of some action, and i'll be hooked.

Going by this quote and the amazing view distance (compared to BF2's crappy view distance) I don't think they could be much high without lagging everyone to hell.

"The basic size of each location is over 100 square kilometers, but this is not all. We do not want to create any countryside boundary, and so the whole model of terrain will be flipped over and mirrored into all sides, which will make the resulting size of the countryside larger than 900 square kilometers (more than 350 square miles)!"

Just look at the view distance in this pic. Its pretty damn far. And its a semi foggy day too.
