need some opinions and some help

hey i just made an account here i have never played BF2 but i heard it was awesome and i am going to get it for PS2 when it comes out please give me your opinions on the game and help me get started.... generally i am really good at military games but never played this and am looking forward to it i play BHD i played SOCOM II and KILLZONE. Firstly hi and welcome to the forums :)
Secondly for all your answers just look around the forums! :)

Things to remember:
1: If someone here is bitching about the game they are still playing it so it cant be that bad.
2: Play how you want to play, not how everyone else wants you to play.
3: This game is very difficult. The accuracy of most of the guns is very low but once you learn to play a particular kit you'll be off to a start.
4: I recommend starting as a medic or support until you get used to the game. This gives you the option to re-supply/revive and hang back to watch how its done while still getting some points in.
5: Join a squad as soon as you've got the basics down. Lonewolfing is near-on pointless and a decent squad with voiceover is the most powerful tool in the game. Work as a squad and follow orders/don't forget to give orders.
6: Get used to spotting enemies. Aim straight at them and press whatever key you have assigned to radio. Then click the big spotted button in the middle. This highlights the enemy on the map so everyone can see where he/she is. Obviously this works better against vehicles/players further away or haven't seen you yet.
7: Get a headset and get talking. This game is made soo much easier for it.

Definately getting a mic and using the ingame VOIP is the way to learn the most. You can ask a question instantly in game and get an answer. Also like he said a squad with Voice is the strongest weapon availible. I've been in squads were we've taken out countless enemies with just our six guys because we could communicate and tell everyone what was going on.

ok I have a mic and am really good with tactics and strategy and u may not think so cuz im only 12 but i have very good leadership

Console gamers, even hard-core....always suck at pc games....that's just what I think....so no matter what you say about yourself and how good you are, you are still a n00b to me :p

i have more questions too....... and just to let anybody that wants to help me know that i am getting it for PS2 not PC. Do I need any special game hook-ups besides the regular online stuff? Do you have to change your name to join a clan or is there a clan menu page? And does anybody know when it comes out? I have heard it comes out Oct. and i believe it but am not sure cuz i haven't seen any commercials.... if it does plz tell me the date, if not plz tell me when it is coming out.....

That's Battlefield: Modern Combat, I believe...it's not even close to BF2...so good luck with that, and you probably won't find any help on these forums...because it's mostly all about BF2 except for Off-Topic section
