Uh, why am i crashing to desktop?

2.8 ghz
nvidia 5700
512 ram

i have the latest patch
the drivers that came with bf2

i've ran the game for about a month now, maybe a month and a half

I am now suddenly crashing to dekstop, i just recently installed Half life2: deathmatch, but bf2 worked with HL2 and counter strike course.

and what actually is happening, i run it, and the screen goes dark black, grey black, dark black, grey black, a couple of times then it goes to desk top.

well the crashing to desktop is a bug i dont know about the dark black though .......

mine kept crashing to desktop right after patch too, i just popped in the cd and hit uninstall then i installed it again then patched it and it worked from there

this should be in the client support forum. And did yout try the newer video drivers than what came with the game?

I had the same prob when I first got the game and I had to load a video card update. You might want check for any updates or control panels.

Yea it was the patch, how dumb is that. I am reinstalling the patch, if this happens again i'll just stop playing bf2 all togethor, i didn't pay money for some patch to come out and not let me play it.
