how do i add ports for bf2 in norton, when i go to modify for bf2 in the programs list for norton the only thing that i can modify is to permit the game or not, is there any way to add port numbers with norton

I have NIS 2005 AntiSpyware, and I have no problems. I highly doubt that this is your problem.
But you would do this by going to the Program Control, finding BF2, then on the Internet Access where it says "Permit" click that there is a drop down, click on custom. You would have to add in each port, or port-range individually.
