and as for wake island being tough on pilots isay about time there be some half decent air defence

u kidding? wake is awsome to bomb people on just fly rlly high then do vertical bombings on tankes especally for USA side u can take out all the noobs on the airfield who are still trying to kill eachother for the plane

Every damn second LOCK ON (me) OH GOD!!!!! I thought the patch was because to get rid of whack 100% mistake team damage. Because wake island is an air defense nightmare it should have been made different in terms of those guide lines for the game.

Ok, first off, stop arguing now, that's what gets people banned, so break it up. Anyways, i'm ur regular military expert for tanks/airplanes/guns, ok, the F15 is strictly for airforce here's the only 5 used varients of the F15:
F15A: Retired, replaced by F15C, it's a single seat interceptor
F15B: Retired, replaced by F15D, dual seat trainer aircraft
F15C: In service, Used in the airforce as interceptor
F15D: In service, used in the airforce as trainer aircraft
F15E (the one that's in BF2): In service, used in the airforce, used as a strike aircraft (ground attack aircraft)
Now, don't say i'm wrong, cause, let's just say i have more than 50 sources to prove you wrong. THe F14 is a long range carrier based interceptor, it USUALLY doesn't hold bombs, it sometimes does. It holds short-range sidewinder missiles, medium range sparrow missiles, and long range pheonix missiles. THe F/A 18 is used as a fighter and ground attack aircraft, it is now the main aircraft on your regular US aircraft carrier. It holds a variety of missiles including the sidewinder, and AIM-120 AMMRAM. It also holds a wide assortment of bombs. The Essex class carrier is a mini aircraft carrier, the ones in servece today use Harrier II VTOL aircraft, regular aircraft can't take off from there. In the game it has F-35B (B is the marine varient, which has VTOL). In fact, the only aircraft in the whole game that could go on a essex style carreir is the F35B. THe only one that could go on a full sized carrier is the F/A 18, but marines don't have full-size carriers, only navy does. Don't complan that the F15 is in the navy. THere is no navy in the game, its USMC (MC is marine corps), so if it was the navy, the only navy aircraft in game is the F/A-18.

EDIT: Oh, in the HUD for bombing mode, the squares with X's in them are friendlies, the blank squares are enemies. I made the mistake of attacking a squre with a X the first time i flew.

Have they tweaked the aircraft handling after the patch? maybe my minds playing tricks but they feel more responsive when rolling.

Maybe, but they also upped the AA missiles abilties by a lot, so it's harder to be in the sky at all times. pre-patch it was easy, once there's a lock on, just fly in the tightest circle possible, and you'll never be shot down. Now you have to do real hard manuvers, you have to do stuff like loop (kinda hard, you have to go straight verticle before comin down) and barrel rolls in combination to shake missiles off.

Didnt really notice to tell you the truth.

Whenever i get a lock i fly in tight circles before letting the flares go and roll round to do a flyby of bases to see where the AA is.
