eVGA 6800 GT card ... Crash on Load screen

I have a P4 2.8 HT CPU, 35gb Raptor HD, 1gb Corsair XMS pc2700 ram, and a brand new eVGA Geforce 6800 GT AGP 8x card. All on a MSI 865pe neo something board. I put the vid card in today and loaded the 77.77 drivers along with the BF2 1.03 patch. After that I turned on the game, logged into my account and proceeded to join a game. First try it joined. Then I exited the game installed my sound card Creative Live card and went back to joining another game. I can no longer join any game. Once I click on a game to join it goes to the load screen, gets to maybe 10% and then crashes. My brother keeps telling me its my motherboard. Any suggestions?

uninstall and reinstall. I had to do this when I put my Creative card in too. I had to manually uninstall to be able to reinstall (directions were on EAs site.)
