Ground Defense Road Kill???

This one has had me baffled for a little while when I look at my stats it says I have like 10 ground defense road kills. How is it that I could have run someone over with a stationary MG or a stationary TOW? Ive seen people try to knife me in a TOW but spinning around wont kill them. One of the many BF2 mysteries....

isn’t that a reference to how many times you have been run over, in that case while you were in a ground defense station?

Maybe when you blew up a tank with the ground defense, it exploded and killed someone else near it, giving you a kill with the tank while being in ground defense. Sounds messed up but it's possible.

No, that stat is how many times you have run someone over or somehow killed someone with your vehicle.

LOL at all the random answers, if you dont 100% KNOW the answer then please stop confusing the thread with random speculation. The real answer (100% confirmed) is this......

When an exploding vehicle that you have shot WITH the ground defense kills the enemy. example is when you TOW a enemy tank with a driver and a gunner, one bails out is killed by the exploding wreckage and the other dies in the flaming cab. The kill messages would be:

You <TOW> him
You <M1A2> him2

meaning 1 kill and 1 roadkill. It actually happens a lot with all weapons and vehicles, i have 140 roadkills with the planes from when i bomb armour and it takes out the infantry.
