    bf2 staff/programers question/info (NOT A FLAME)

    Can anyone get,
-the amount of programers used to make the game and patches
-the amount of programers who started the original game that still working on it
-the amount of beta testers for the game (original)
-the amount of beta testers for the 1.03 patch
-where are they getting the beta testers

The reason why I ask is because there is obviously something not right. The amount of bugs that are still in the game and all the new ones, doesn't make any sense.
-red tag bugs on friendly (still)
-only able to play wake2007 (new)
    -longer to load game (new)
Either the programers are doing a half-assed job (doubt it cause they'd be fired) or the beta testers are just crap(most likely)

Why are the programers NOT comming to these forums and asking for Beta Testers? I'm sure they could get 100 people easy, and for free. I hope that their beta testers are not playing it at the EA/DICE (where ever) computer with the best of everything in it. Cause that would be dumb.

I like the game, but with each patch comes way too many more bugs than fixes. Instead of trying to patch and patch and patch... burn it down and rebuild.

As for DICE staffing and production, look here :

I can't answer for the bug issues....and I agree an open beta is a good idea, but as with any professionally run production company I guarantee they have plenty of existing testers....but the reality is bugs always get through regardless. If you think this is bad try playing around on Linux if you want to see real bug issues, by comparison this game is a dream (and yes I understand there is a vast difference between an open source monster like Linux and a game, but a bug is a bug). I am pretty sure that DICE also monitors what happens in the BF2 community and they will/are working on a solution to the newly discovered bugs.

    just remember, bug=undocumented feature

I'd like to see some information on the programmers as well. I've taken a few college level classes in C++ (which they admited the game was programmed in in one of those dev chats not too long ago) and am slightly interested in the way the game is coded since it seems rather inefficient compared to competition. Yes it has lots of features and stuff to consider, but eh well, it would be nice if we did get a chance to test as well, because I assure you anything wrong with the gameplay, I'd let them know until everyone on the development team knew about it. :p

Some players reported that bf2 only works on that map. If the map changes the game crashes.

Well there are plenty of documented bugs and none of them are fixed

about the beta testing team, and the team testing the original one, the problem is the folowing.

Those guys all where glad they could test the game or beta patch, and forums where filled with there comments on it, and they kept bragging over it and the fact they where testers. But they didn't actualy realise they where the key to a good game or that they had to give some support instead of braging.

With the result EA brings out a game and later on a patch wich doesn't help anything, and has bugs and bugs and some more bugs plus some extra bugs.
