I was flying a jet, had guy in his jet lined up. I shot all 4 missiles and only 1 hit. All they had to do was go straight...

I was happy to hear this was fixed in the "patch" ... well until i sat down in the AA seat. Wasnt fixed. Actually its funny because it seems its even harder to lock onto targets meaning for example: I can visually see the enemy jet and im aiming at him yet im waiting for the lock on target radar to go off and it takes forever as im following the enemy visually and the dumb radar wont even pick em up.

when i first loaded the patch, i played Wake island and the first thing i did was jump into an AA emplacement to test if what ea said was true. I killed 1 cobra, 1 blackhawk and a f-35. Ever since the first time i have used the aa emplacements, i havent been able to hit anythign at all. its like the aa missles are broken after the first time they are used.

Ok i have a great story on this.

I'm in the chinese fighter the J-10, i fly with the bombing HUD up so i don't lock on to planes when i go behind them there for they don't know i'm there.
So i'm behind the american bomber and it doesn't know i'm there, i don't shoot any bullets i then switch the HUD to the missile one, so it starts to lock on i then fire 2 missiles which should kill the plane, yet the missles fly straight forward towards the plane that is flying straight, then within about 10 meters of the plane both missles suddenly randomly fly off to the left towards a allied chopper or something that i can't even see, even though they were within about 10 meters of the engine and i was still locked on, i then fire the other 4 missiles i have which 1 misses again but the last 2 hit and kill it.
But it was completely stupid that the fire 2 just went off randomly after something that i haden't even seen, they turned by 90 degrees.
It also happen again when the plane just went up by about 10 feet then down again and 2 missles just missed the plane, it was like in the starting video where the chopper fires flares and goes up a bit except the plane didn't fire any flares the missles just missed.

I can't seem to hit planes at all with the AA but I can hit helos just fine. Even moreso when I'm flying I don't see to get a lock on any helicopters until im almost past him.

I find it harder sometimes to hit stuff too, then again I had 1 round where EVERYTHING hit.

lol, you actually are able to hit choppers with them?

They always veer off to the left oor right, seconds before they would hit the target, and, of course, they then decide to chase a friendly.
(strange though, they never veer off when they're following a friendly

I've found out the reason why our AA missiles are randomly changing directions moments before they hit.

I've had similar experiences myself with missiles heading straight towards a plane or heli and then moments before they hit, they turn on a dime and head off into the sunset.

I was just playing Wake Island, and it happened again, but a second after the missiles had veered off, Heat flares popped onto the screen. They weren't being clipped, because then I would've only see one or two that entire my field of vision (I play with 100% visibility anyway).

It seems to me that it's just an age old FPS classic where the server knows the AA missiles fired, and it knows the heli/plane fired it's flares, but you don't necessarily get all that information at once.

Chinese J-10 is almost invulnerable after patch. I flew a F35B and shot 5 missiles at one of them and they all hit their target. Yes, you need 5 missiles to destroy a J-10 now... After the plane exploded game says : Team vehicle damage

Today I flew J-10 and got hit by AA. Well, only 20 per cent of bars went away...

Nice bug... The best fighter in game got even better and you get minuses for shooting it.

Way to go QA people!!

I don't have much problems hitting choppers...but I take good shots. If u just spam it hoping it miraculously turns and hits it you're gonna miss more times then not. I shoot when it's fly towards me, away from me or hovering. Flying across your screen will almost always miss. Jets I try to apply the same thing but they still are a pain to hit. The patch didn't fix anything there.

Yeah, the AA might have been improved about || that much, but not much more.

Well, mebbe | | that much, but definately not any more. :P
