    All Seeing Eye FIX!!!!!

    Copied from the ASE forums. Works perfectly.

    Okay, I'm not sure if the ASE guys will update soon to allow BF2 to start up again, but for now here's a fix.

    Go to your ASE directory (default C:\Program Files\The All-Seeing Eye) and open up filters.txt. Search for "battlefield 2" and here's what you should have:

    Code:
    Battlefield 2

    ServerType: GS
    RegKey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\INSTALLDIR
    ExeName: BF2.EXE
    JoinTemplate: {EXEPATH} +restart 1 +joinServer {ip} +port {port} [ +password "{PASSWORD}"]
    HostTemplate: {EXEPATH} +restart 1 +hostServer 1

    Now, change the JoinTemplate line to this:
    Code:
    JoinTemplate: {EXEPATH} +joinServer {ip} +port {port} +username yourusername +playerPassword yourpassword [ +password "{PASSWORD}"]

    Note that what you did was remove the +restart 1 and added +username yourusername +playerPassword yourpassword, of course replacing yourusername and yourpassword with your, um, username and password.

    Once you join a server through ASE, you will bypass the login menu for BF2 and the game might seem to freeze for a bit with the EA message. Just wait a few seconds and BF2 should start loading your new map!

    Sorry but it's been posted here already (even before the ASE forums I think) :)

    Good to keep it bumped though !

    You can also edit the filters.txt file to add Wake Island map and 1.03 patch version.

      Here's the filters.txt edit to add 1.03.

      Code:
      Battlefield 2\Version
      Group: NUL

      Battlefield 2\Version\1.03
      Group: BF2VER
      Mutex: BF2VER
      1 if gamever != "1.1.2551.0" remove

      Battlefield 2\Version\1.02
      Group: BF2VER
      Mutex: BF2VER
      1 if gamever != "1.1.2484.0" remove

      Battlefield 2\Version\1.01
      Group: BF2VER
      Mutex: BF2VER
      1 if gamever != "1.1.2475.0" remove

      Battlefield 2\Version\1.0
      Group: BF2VER
      Mutex: BF2VER
      1 if gamever != "1.0.2442.0" remove

      Battlefield 2\Version\Other
      Group: BF2VER
      Mutex: BF2VER
      Flags: OTHER

        On the ASE forums, a bit further down the same post, I found this answer..

        There's an easier (in my opinion) and more permanant way (won't be erased on the next filter update).

        In the filters list pane (where it says Battlefield 2, Friendly Fire, Maps, etc), right click Battlefield 2 and click Custom Config...

        Then edit the line that says Cmd Line to add the +username [your user name here] +playerPassword [your password here] to that line. Minus the brackets of course. So it should look something like:

        "c:\games\BF2\bf2.exe" +menu 1 +username nubfacelol +playerPassword imanub

        mind the quotes, those are important.

        Ive tried it and it also works.....

                Bahah, if you got this from the ASE forums, they actually copied it from this forum...

                It's like a paradox or something...goes from here to there, and back again. No worries though, glad it works for all who tried. That easier fix is probably better anyways. I'll add it to my original topic. :)

                    Re: All Seeing Eye FIX!!!!!

                    I've altered the filters.txt file word for word,triple checked it ; when game gets launched from ASE it gets stuck on the EA screen option to go to their website. I've waited 5 mins it never loads into game.

                    Please help!!
