Some questions about 1.03

Ok so I missed the release of 1.03 and just installed it. I joined a server and after I got 1 kill I got a promotion to Sergeant (I was corporal before). But I thought that I had lots more global points to get. Then I killed another guy and got ANOTHER promotion to gunnery sergeant. So I was mystified. I then capped a flag; and got Promoted AGAIN to Master gunnery sergeant. Ive now got all but one gun unlocked.
Was this supposed to happen?
Also are people finding the new patch more laggy at all?

along with kicking ass, i am going to be playing this game loads over the weekend to try and get myslef promoted and unlock all the weapons!

Yes it was supposed to happen.

Ea revamped the amount of global points needed for ranks so you had already passed these ranks. This was just their way of catching you up. Don't worry, You still have a long way until the next rank now you are in line with their new system.

A lot of people were complaining before the patch that the ranking was too slow and it was going to take years of play to get a handful of unlocks. So EA made it easier to get through the ranks and now people are complaining that it's too easy :)

Yeah it's perfectly normal. Can't speak about the lag though.

I still think lag is a server based thing...I was laggy the first few servers I hit, but last night on a couple of maps, NO LAG whatsoever...was one of the best I had :)

Naah, Lagging dependes upon the overall pinging of the guys in server and thus the server itself that time.

mine was laggin a bit but think it was down to a load of cr*p i had running on my computer.

cleaned it all up and now the game is running like a charm!
