  • Joystick setup Saitek EVO 3D Gold USB

    Hi All,

Can anyone help me with joystick setup for BF2.
Am running a Saitek EVO 3D (USB connection) but the Game refuses to
recognise any of the joystick inputs when I try to set up the controller.

    Thanks in advance

I just pluged mine in, window xp recognized it!
If yours didnt use the disc that came with it!
Setup up control, do u mean setting up the control with another program or in game under controls!
The game does not need another program for inputs!

Yea, just make sure that you have installed your joystick. I am personally using Saitek Cyborg Evo and it is absolutely wonderful for Battlefield 2 and Flight Simulator 2004 alike. You could use the disc that they provided and install all the relevant drivers and then you should go to www.saitek.com and go find the latest drivers for the joystick. You must also remember to set the joystick controls in the Battlefield 2 menu, and remember to 'APPLY'. The last time I did not apply settings, I tried ages and the joystick could not work...

I use a Microsoft Force Feedback 2, which works amazingly in everything, resistance could be a bit stronger in BF2 but ohwell.

Anyway, you tried downloading the latest Saitek drivers off their website then trying it?

Hey...new here. I must be dense as well...I just CANNOT see where, in the control menu, it shows joystick set up. I have Game Elements game controler...kinda looks like a PS2 controler. It is working on the Computer just fine...but I see nothing in options\controls of BF2 for joystick setup. I know I'm being stupid. Help!

Sorry chaps, led you all a merry dance.

The Joystick in question is only a modest CYBORG 3D GOLD
not an EVO as previously stated.

Thanks for the tips though. Will try the driver latest etc ..

Otherwise I'll bin it and buy a decent one - any recommendations ?
