    VOIP stops working after a few minutes, please help

    I've spent several days on this problem, can't seem to fix it.

    VOIP works when I first join a game. All seems fine. After a few minutes, VOIP stops working. If I exit to menu and go to the audio settings, VOIP is somehow disabled. In order to get it to work again, I have to exit and restart Battlefield.

    I've disabled windows and software firewall. I'm using a router, and I've set my computer on a DMZ server. Unless someone knows otherwise, DMZ should allow all port traffic to BF2, same as setting up all of those port services.

    I heard that disabling Universal Plug-N-Play service causes problems. I enabled the service on my computer and the router. This did not change anything.

    I've experimented with my audio settings. I've tried enabling and disabling EAX, hardware / software, and quality levels, and the problem persists. I've tried configuring VOIP using the utility in the BF2 install directory.

    My hardware:
    amd 64 3400
    1 gig ram
    nvidia 6800
    asus a8v, using onboard lan
    using onboard audio Realtek AC97

    windows xp pro with sp1, all current drivers

    In windows, in the start menu, click run and type dxdiag
    wait for the tabs to load up and click sound. turn sound acceleration down to basic acceleration.
    Problem fixed :)
