I know that you are either one of the other, not both. BFHQ says my next rank is Master Sargeant but as far as I know I had all the requirements for the First Sargeant track but it decided I was going to be a Master Sargeant. I really don't care one way or the other but I am curious as to how it decided the track I was going to take.
I think it just says that cause its the "next" step in the rank chain even though master and 1st sgt are the same rank. Even with that listed, and if you have all the basic badges, youll rank up to 1st sgt upon hitting 20k. Or you can have all the badges and get promoted to master sgt like me cause of the retarded basic badge glitch that causes you not to get your basic recorded but only your veteran if you earn both at the same time.
-Can throw out a patch 2 months later than originally planned and yet not fix a most simple of bugs.

I have the same problem, its ****ing annoying. I have 10,000 more points than my friend and hes at a higher rank.
I emailed the email that was supposed to help any problems with stats and at first i got a reply saying delayed now i get one saying failed.
Now we cant even email them, ffs.

once you get to master sergeant you cant go to first sergeant, you either go to first sergeant or master sergeant not both. they are the same level of rank, one is not higher than the other
yeah but its gay i am over 40,000 and people at 20,000 can get first sergeant if they choose to get all basic medals which i have so its not fair and ea can suck my balls
One rank is NOT HIGHER than the other THEY ARE EQUAL!!!!!!!!! You have the same number of stripes, the only difference is the little symbol in the middle.

And thats not fair, they should have informed us cause i would have gone to achieve the basic badges at 20.000
