I hope a lot of the noobs get frustrated with it and stop using it... Ever since the patch the ratio of Spec Ops to other classes got a LOT worse.

I've loved it since the beginning. I wish I had a $ for everytime I go 1 on 1 with a dude over a medium distance. I can hear his rounds impacting around me and all I do is hit the mouse once or twice and he's gone -- must be frustrating as hell for them.

I think the patch upped the damage a bit too. I seem to be getting a lot more 1 or 2 shot kills than I used to get with head shots.

lol I always go MEC if I want to play medic so I could use the AK 101 because the rest suck including the L85 :dead: I would rather use a pistol.

To the original poster:

I unlocked the G36C a while ago, and thought the same thing as you: overrated. But when you get used to using the iron sight as opposed to the red dot, it's a ruthless weapon. I get far more headshots with this than any other gun, for the sheer fact that my first shot is usually dead on the head. You can't just pick it up a few times on the ground and determine it sucks. Just like any other gun in the game, you have to play around with it for a while to figure out the most effective way for YOU to use it. :)

Not to offend the G36C aficionado's, but I honestly can't see why everyone loves this gun so much. In terms of accuracy it's virtually the same as the other Spec Ops guns on single shot, and probably worse than M4 and AK74U since you don't get the simple red dot to use for aiming. Same with damage, virtually identical.

The only upside to the gun is its recoil, which will definitely help in mid to long range shooting - but, everyone uses single shot for mid to long range anyways - so what's the point?

Could anyone enlighten me please? I personally don't have it unlocked, simply because whenever I wanted to test it I'd just pick up any spec ops kit off the ground, and there would be a 80% chance I'd get a G36C anyway.

Well i have all the unocks other than the m95 and the jackhammer and id say the g36c is easily the most accurate gun in the game.

From distance on single shot its extremely accurate and can easily outgun snipers, close to medium range on full auto you can let rip an entire clip at someone and hit them with alomost every shot.

It certainly makes a gun like the L85 look really crappy.

I don't have it unlocked, however, I do have the L85 and play as medic alot and the only 2 guns I find myself beaten by consistantly, at distance, are the M95/M24 and the G36C. Everyone else I can pretty much take out before they take me out.

With the M95/M24, it hits me once and then I run because I have no health left. So I rarely get killed by it. However, if the G36C hits me, I feel as if I stand a chance, so I keep fighting and all too often end up getting killed.

So, I would be hard pressed to say it is overrated. However, as drukenpirate said, as a medic, I can heal other people AND myself, so I think I am better off.

I really like the L85 and medic combination.

With a jackhammer you can't miss...in close combat .As for g36c I can not say anything because I did not unlocked it yet.But since I know thing or two about weapons I must say that G36C is overrated.The G36C is based on the HK G36 assault rifle with maximum effective range of 100 m.But it is most effective at ranges of 25 and 50 meters and I must say that the latter distance representing about the limit of the realistic effective range of such a weapon.But in game I see people are trying to snipe with this rifle (successfully ) witch is impossible.
As for L85A1...well you can't compare it,because that rifle belongs to another class-medic.And it is better choise for US medic,because M16 is a worste rifle I ever tried...and that stands not just for the rifle in the game.

yeah, i have this weapon unlocked as well. And to be honest the stock default weapon, ( M4?) is by far alot more fun to use. Now that i have the gp30c, i rarely use it.
Besides, that little red dot, does indeed look cool. And cool is good. But for myself, i sorta tested, both weapons, in single shot mode, at distance in action. And the stock red dot weapon....seemed to be alot better.
I guess its what you like.
