Ok guys, I have a gforcefx5800 256 right now from albatros. I am looking at finding a upgrade for less the 250(lower the better). Wifey is asking what I want for christmas and better graphics sounds alright to me. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Good video card for less than 200
I heard that with a decent overclocking motherboard and good power supply, the X800GTO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102602 is almost guaranteed to unlock the other 4 pipes and clock up to X850XT PE speeds on stock cooling... at $175 thats an absolute jailbuster steal...
of course thats if you have PCI-E... which if you're running a FX5800 now, you probably have AGP only. If that's the case...
I'd spring for the GeForce 6800 "Vanilla" for $164

-OR-
The 6600GT for $159

They are both great deals for AGP motherboards and are comparably powered... The 6600GT tends to excel at lower resolutions with it's fast processor while the 6800 tends to do better with higher resolutions (1280x1024 and up) due to it's 256-bit memory controller and 4 more pipelines... I have the 6800 and it plays at 1280x1024 w/ settings at medium at 45-55 fps.
up to you
