ok, so i have dled the patch from 2 different places and it really only has added the new map wake. my bfhq doesnt have the compare option i have 3751 global but i am still a lance corporal.when i try to join any server i get the "This server only allows users with unmodified content to join." Any help?

Try taking a looking in the patchlog.txt in ...\My Documents\battlefield 2\dmp\ and see if it skipped files like bf2.exe or core.dll then game isn't patched, this happens e.g. if ppl use a *****.
What version does it say in the main menu?? It shouls say 1.1.2551.0 if it says 2484 then it is still at 1.02 and lower at 1.01 or 1.0, which would indicate the bf2.exe han't been patched. -

It could be a modification in your map folder..try uninstaling the map and reinstalingComment
