Ive noticed some players updating there bf2 version to get there promotions, badges etc, and then by going into custom games activate the older version of bf2.
So they can go onto a 24/7 Mashtuur City map servers, just to BH whore and gets 100's of points while we using the current version have abide to the restricted new rules to gain global points, we'll never be able to match the 100's of points!
It doesnt sound right to me at all!

Who cares? So long as your score is unaffected it shouldn't be a problem to you.

Hmmm, not sure if that will actually work. I think ALL servers that are ranked MUST upgrade their servers or NO stats will count. You might want to double check your sources.

Yeah... We were forced to update our server.

Who cares? So long as your score is unaffected it shouldn't be a problem to you.

So it doesnt bother you that the players doing this can triple the global points you make in a bf2 gaming session?

I think every server should be forced to upgrade to the new version.

I think every server should be forced to upgrade to the new version.

unless your server is updated it will not send stats to the master server.

I dont understand why you care so much about your or anyone else's points, why dont you just play the game?

unless your server is updated it will not send stats to the master server.

hmmm well i noticed a sudden jump at the top end of the leaderboard ****666RA**** has taken over a number of players out of the blue, so i thought ok i better get some points, at the end of a round id got about 120 points checking ****666RA****'s score it had jumped about 500 points in the space of 30 - 40 mins.
I thought *holy cow!* and checked which server he was on at bf2s.com an low an behold he was on the 24/7 Mashtuur City server, tried to join to see how hes managing to get these points and "you are running a newer version to this server" pops up.

That server "is" sending its stats to the master server.

Ranked servers that report to Gamespy/EA have to be at 1.03. You can't run 1.02 and BH whore a ranked server that's reporting stats.

the moment you mess with your folders you are a cheater to me.

Now, I find EA should give all servers 1 or 2 weeks to upgrade to 1.03 and after that, only 1.03 version servers can be ranked

Nope. It's an option open to myself so I fail to see the problem.
