Wow, I just played the demo, ( i've never played any COD2 before ) after hearing all these people here talk about it, and I must say.... it is absolutely badass. I love the killing system, where you can only die to a head or chest shot, and the actual USE of cover; cars ect.. and the action.. it feals awsome when you hear all those guns going off at once... I'm totally buying this game when it comes out. It feels alot better then BF2. One question though, does it have multiplayer in the real game? are there any sniper rifles or anything in other levels? Can you drive any vehicles?

Im just going to point to google. The game is not BF2 in ww2 but more realistic. COD is an infantry game and only the UO ex pack had vehicles and they were rather a minor thing. Yes there are sniper rifles and only noobs were snipers.

Not sure what whistle is on about:hmm: Anyways...CoD2 Multiplayer(although i haven't played it) - of course, the first&expansion are still going very strong online.
There were vehicles -Tanks, Jeeps etc...but they were not BF2 quality to drive, not quite sure about CoD2:|: I expect so, hopefully with a vast improvement:)
There are sniper rifles, along with many other WWII weapons (Iron sights are used).
I was a big fan of the original CoD MP; Strong Community, good maps, decent weapons - vets use a rifle, sweet sound fx, Easy Mod ascess, no bunny hoppers(it was nerfed in an early patch...you listening EA:laugh: All round good experience, but TBH im loving BF ATM but I will also be playing CoD2 MP when it arrives:)

rifles pwned all. the BAR was good too if you could aim and knew how when to reload. the M1 carbine made me orgasm quite a few times during those occasional 60-0 rounds.

The demo looked pretty, but it didn't blow me away. I haven't seen much about the MP game which makes me nervous. It's the online component that keeps a game going for 2 years, not the single player missions (even if they are improved for COD2).

COD (released about two years ago) had an auto-download system that helped the custom map and mod community. Sadly, this is missing from BF2.

Auto downloading was great, untill you went into singleplayer and noticed they effected that part, i alwase had to reinstall because i love sp.

the gameplay was pretty good, but the computer requirements are way too high for graphics that arent all to good to be frank, but still i think it will be a good game

play it again and have a closer look... any1 up for some rehashed linear scripted action?

The graphics were terrible. The SP didn't keep me very interested either, perhaps the MP will be more exciting though.

I'd love to see you make a video of yourselfe playing cod2 on the hardest (veteran?) and see you stay out in the open.. oh yea, if forgot you would die. The chest/headshot kills is actually a good thing. you still die easily either way.

its nice to see you took the time to reply, stupid to note that the initial post was drawing comparisons between COD2 and BF2 but we'll let the baby have its bottle.

yeah pity i uninstalled the demo after COMPLETELY owning it in veteran first time... so maybe YOU would die but then again i have to give you kudos as playing a game this "hard" must still be a challenge to you...

i thought the gfx were great. much better than bf2. of course it was full of scripted events, its a single player mission.
