No VoIP in servers

Not sure where to put this and I think I know the answer, but I just want to make sure.
I've gone into many servers that have the VoIP enabled icon on them in the browser, started a squad, had someone join and try to communicate but we can't hear each other. The speaker icon comes up in the upper right of the screen but still nothing.
I'm assuming this is a teamspeak issue, if it is, how do I use this on a server that doesn't have it's teamspeak ip address on the welcome screen?

its not a TS issue I use TS and voip at the same time on our clan server.

Voip is built into the game. Clan adverts for TS channels are for the public to get in and chat with them (great recruitment tool). They co-exist. I've commanded and used the VoIP to talk to the team while I use TS with the clan.

Might want to test your mic in the settings area - mic boost, etc...

Also - one of my clanmates has a wierd issue where his BF2 mutes his Mic automatically EVERY time he fires the game up. I dont know his system specs though, sry.

Thanks for the replies, and I know it's not a mic issue, since both a friend of mine and I have the identical problem. We then bail on that server and go right into another server and it works perfectly.

That could be it... but sometimes it's not the first server we go into. Definitly worth checking into though, thanks!

Just checked when it happened again, and it didn't mute itself. What was strange this time was that it was a server I go on all the time and this time was the first time Voip didn't work. I'm starting to think teamspeak is the way to go just so there'll always be a way to communicate.

Anyone else having this problem? When I ask the server I never get a response, like they can't see my chat window too. What the hell is up with that? I figure it has to be my setup somehow, but I'm lost as to what.
