Server Browser still bad..

Patch 1.03 for the most part has been great..

but the server browser is still slow, unresponsive and awkward.

Heres an idea... How about if when you choose a server and it fails
to connect for any reason, full, etc.. that it doesnt make you go
back to the beginning of the list in the browser... How stupid is that?

At least twice last night, I would single click on a sever to get
fresh details..ping/players... and it would just sit there for like 30
seconds doing nothing and then finally come back..

I like the fav. server list.. finally! It should have been in there from
the beginning... but hey Im not complaining, its in it now.. take what I
can get...

Overall the server browser is still not very good.. filters button seems
not to work at times, and you have to fiddle around with the
refresh/update/apply filters buttons to get the list to work right
sometimes..

Another thing is when you type in a string in the server name box
sometimes it finds things sometimes it doesnt..

The patch made the overall game lots better, but the server browser
is still JUNK, imo.

Well, they dont' need to go there, but there's a link to the official EA forum in the first post of that thread, so your complaint CAN be heard by the appropriate people.

The server browser does still suck. It is slow and laggy and if a round ends and map changes, it won't display the new map. Its annoying as ****. You want Strike at Karkand and the server displays that map, but it is really like Fushe Pass. Overall it is the worst browser ever.

They improved the server browser for sure, but They didnt perfect it. I know what you mean about going to the beggining when you found a good server thats full half way down. I wish there was an auto-reconnect button to use.

The pings are still screwed up for me. They are still really high after a refresh/update but when I click on each one individually it shows the correct ping.

Anyone else?

whenever i type something in the server box like"karkand" or "wake" it doesnt find any server.. never even if there are server with this name. then i have to check and uncheck any serverfilter before i can even see any server....................

is it just me, or does anyone here wish BF2's browser was EXACTLY like
UT2004's ??

UT2004s isnt as flashy, but its just damn good.. refreshes great,
responds flawlessly.. and you can even look thru the list checking
servers while its still loading the list... and when a connection fails,
it takes you back to where you were in the list.. It has buddy list,
fav list.. works great. DICE should call the boys at EPIC/DE and
get some tips.
