I Figured out how to fix the ea message bug! Re-install! I know its a lot of work but it works, The message is telling you about the new 0.03 patch lol, but at least it goes away! I found it helps alot if you just get rid of all ur battlefield 2 files, meaning un-install, and just install battlefield 2 and the new 0.03 patch, got rid of all the problems i had :)
