Yes, I'm aware it's been posted before.
Problem is, with the new patch, its also even worse than before.

I want to dedicate a thread to this issue still being in the game post patch v1.03 in hopes EA will come across this and get information from it since they have said in the past, to them, this issue does not exist.

A teammate on MY team will show up red like in pre-patch.
Now, unlike pre-patch, hitting TAB to see the score also shows them on the opposite team as well. When before the patch I could verify them being on my team via score sheet.

Before patch I might see this issue once every few nights of gaming.
Now I have discovered, through teamkilling of course, at least one member on my team being RED in nearly every round I play.

Disconnecting and reconnecting on the server fixes it for that round only.
When the round ends, its anybody's guess as to if it will reappear again, and usually does.

No difference playing on servers that auto-switch teams after a round and those that do not. Seen it on both.

I have verified this through having 2 computers, my wife's and mine, in the same game at the same time with both computers showing the score sheets at the same time.

Yep, I never had the problem much before, but the last 24 hours has been a shocker for it. Much worse for sure!

Yeah..
I noticed that too last night, that might be related.
Also I forgot, when a teammate shows as RED he does not appear on the mini-map or anymap for that matter.

Before 1.03 I have seen the RedTag bug maybe 5 times in about 194 hours of play.

Since 1.03 I have seen it at least 10 times. I now see it many times in the same game. The weird thing is that I very often see the tag changing. What I mean is I look at someone and within a sec, his tag changes color: blue, red, then blue again. Very weird.

Pre 1.03 I saw this maybe 2 times. Last night I saw this at least a dozen times. In fact I was almost vote kicked because of it. If EA says its non existant to them, well then they need to do some more reseach. This bug sucks big time.

To go around this problem and have a lower chance of TKing my friends I just shoot at people with the enemies uniform. I do not shoot people with the same uniform as mine and take my chance. the red teammate issue happened with me alot although I do not play that much. So far I did not get a TK because of that! I just need the luck to keep going! hopefuly my teammates wont pik the enemies kit after killing an enemy.

that doesnt always work. i have seen several times a player with a red tag AND an enemy uniform who has turned out to not only be a team mate but actually in my squad.

Have seen it yesterday in several games multiple times (shot one of my teammates 3 times, 3 TKs, 3x punished, 3 times a kick-vote was started).
Very annoying !:cry:

Same thing here. On my team, in my squad, spawning on me and killing me. Screen said "So and so team kills Combat_Gecko" but that didn't stop him from doing it. More disturbing was he was not getting negative points for it and I was offered no chance to punish. At least if I could punish, he wouldn't have been able to keep doing it for an hour.

The only time I've had problems with the tag bug is under one condition. That's when I join a server and before I spawn I get the message stating "You've been moved to the other team...". That's the only time I've been told I'm friendly with a red tag. I'm wondering if the tag is implemented before the team switch and doesn't change. When a new map loads I'm back to normal.

Tell ya what really sucks about this color bug is being an AVIATOR. Holy sh!t. Last night my gunner and I managed to kill about 9 people on one bombing run.... All triangles on in my view. BAAAAAAMMMM!!! At least 6 or so were on our TEAM! U can't see fackn uniforms when ur hauln azz in a jet. And if the are in armor or aa etc... All u can do is blow'em up and take ur chances! It just REALLY SUCKS FOR PILOTS NOW. Me especially.. cuz I just got pretty good at flying.

Before the patch the red bug was usually a teammate that wasn't in a squad. Now it can be anyone. I haven't seen a teammate with an enemy uniform on yet.

The only other bug is for the commander. For some reason he isn't getting credit in the kills column for his arty kills. Weird.

My brother noticed that. MY brother also noted that the GAMEplay in 1.03 is a little odd compared to 1.02 which was more stable so to speak. He says, not only he got promoted TWICE from Lance Corp to Staff SGT, he unlocked weapons and noted that the game play is just horrible and feels like it ruined BF2. Oy.
