Most have a DMZ option to remove certain IPs from the firewall, etc.

ye iv got the DMZ option enabled for my pc, but i still get disconnected from bf2 servers.

does dmz allow both ports and ip's ?

but isnt there anyone who reads this , that can just play bf2 with default router settings?

Do you know for sure it's a router problem? Doesn't really sound like it to me.

            Re: best ROUTER

You do not need DMZ enabled to play BF2. If you do there is something wrong with your port settings in the router. Also your transmit and recieve buffers for your nic card may be too low. Check your NIC card properties and bump them up to at least 100. You can also add the default ports that BF2 uses to your port forwarding section in your router setup.
