Using vehicles to their fullest is griefing? That's like saying you can't use the main gun turret on the M1A1 because it hurts infantry too much. A minigun is supposed to mow down people, and I'm GLAD people want to do this with the Blackhawk.

It 1: Continues to give me targets for my T-90 and 2: makes the people who whined about the Blackhawk in the first place feel even worse because it's STILL killing them.

Y'all try shooting at the Blackhawk with something more than your sidearm every now and then.

owned, thanks for the backup. Last time I checked, as he told me "to play the game as it was meant to be played" meant reducing the enemies tickets to zero. That is the goal, correct? :) Well, then mowing u f'ers down with a bh will = mucho grande kills, which will = lower tickets.

And yeah, I've been blasted out of the air by so many freaking vodniks, humvee's, tanks, etc.. I've lost count. Good squads and even smart lone wolves can deal with this, but apparently he can't.

We BF2 players whine to omuch. We cry and the unfairness of game rules, and debate minor issues, calling them whoring, when in reality BF2 is a pretty evenly balanced game.

Every online MP FPS game will have exploits, but overall BF2 is a fantatic game before and after the patch.

It's amazing to see this forum fill up with posts about how horrible the game is with the 1.3 patch, given that it's the same people who said how horrible the game was before the patch.

No game is perfect and some people will never be happy. It's just their nature.

I personally just play the game for fun. :)

Which is exactly what I'm off to do now!

I dont think that the BH guns are overpowered, they are quite realistic. If youve seen the video that was posted here you know what i mean. Maybe they should beef of the other choppers guns or something.

But look at it this way. If a BH is just hovering around killing all the people at a spawn. Everyone should spawn AT and take it out. The BH probably wont have enineers in it becuase everyone left to cap the flag so only the 2 gunners are left.

can you still get kill assists?

i haven't tried the bh yet post patch but if you can still get kill assists, you (as a pilot) can just circle around a hotzone (since AA still sucks) and rack up the assist points and your gunner can still rack up mad kill points 'cos the guns weren't nerfed.

I'm happy with it, now that people finally have to earn their points.

Not only that the maps last longer since there isnt 6 people in a BH capping every flag and the round only lasts 5 mins. They actually have to work as a team now. Btw misfit i hope thats a fake cat in your avatar. If it isnt i suggest you remove it.

Thank you DICE, you have answered my prayers :) The BH is so much more part of the game now, and not just a one squad point machine, i actually saw a BH dropping off 3 or 4 people at flags and then flying about picking more people up from somewhere else and taking them to the flag points. It was shocking for a few seconds but the end result was so much more fun and realistic giving both sides a chance agin on certain maps.

Games last longer and are much more fun now because the majority of people now fire off anything they have at the heli's especially small arms because they now the damage now counts and the engineer can't simply brush there damage aside laughing all the way :laugh: Before now most people just used to run and hide when they heard the BH now i notice a more determined effort to take they thing down. Sure you still die a few times but you actually get the chanvce to spawn at the same flag due to the loss of the "insta-cap"(tm)

ALso it helps now we are all commander-in-chiefs with minimal points I am also noticing many more AT guys about as i suspect the DAO-12 was a popular unlock, i have fallen in love with it the first time i slaughtered an entire squad that rushed me it all happened so fast i would sworn it was a dream it it wernt for the pile of corpses and a 10 second reload of my smoking DAO-12

I just wished they had not changed it for all vehicles. Sucks as an attack chopper gunner now not getting credit for those quick roll-by flag caps when you see a group almost has one.

I have no problems with the changes. I was in a squad with the bh and we would clear the area, drop people off.clear any more people that spawned and pickup the squad. It there were too many enemies we would just fly high and go to the next sp. Sure we got shot down a couple of times but it was fun because it involved more teamwork.

I LOVE THE NEW CHANGE. Love it. I played Mashtuur on the LastDons server yesterday, it was one of the best games ever played, niether helicopter ever took off with more then 2 people in it. It was awesome. Mashtuur is such a great map now.

I agree Mashtuur picks up where Karkand leaves off. City with a few Birds. But for the BH to be used as a troop transport...it has to stay in the air a little longer than one flag drop....imho.

I love the patch, love the changes to the BH, but I still feel it's missing a little somethin' something.

Either way...I think you're right...fixing the BH has fixed Mashtuur.

Do you find that the Armour has been reduced too much?

Not at all - I patched last night, and immediately after I had my first round with 0 deaths... stayed in a tank the whole round, and no one could get me out of it

Edit: This may not belong here, but while I think of it.... lol

I dont think that the new flag capping rules for vehicles should apply to the tank.. When you're capping a flag with armour, the gunner makes a big difference, and its not like a BH where he can repair, etc...
