EA - "Can't get in the game"

A big round of applause to EA for porking up the game and browser. The fact I can't use Gamespy, Xfire or the like to "Get in the game(TM - EA)", am hassled by a message each time I start the game and have to deal with a broken in-game browser is ludicrus (sp?).

I am starting to question is anyone actually beta-tested this product.

EA is a business that produces/distributes BF2 and other titles to make money, I understand, but to bork something like this is worse than any open-source project I've ever dealt with and the majority of those involve people who are not in it for the money. Is there a David out there to deal with lumbering Goliaths like this?

PS - The motiviation to play is to better you skills so you can contribute to your team winning. People don't care too much about stats after a CAL/TWL match when they win.

Gamespy, XFire, ASE and BF2AL all need to update.

BF2AL was updated this morning and works great.

Now you don't need to hit the 'connect' button. Instead you give the a/c details to BF2AL and it logs you in directly to the server as soon as there's a slot free !!!

Roger that - tested it a while ago and it works fine.

Would have been nice for EA/DICE to give them a heads up.

At least the other server browsers will be able to figure it out since the BF2AL is open source.

          Thanks for the news.
