crash to desktop when trying to join any server! Help please!!

Installed update 1.03 and played just fine. After my session ended, thinking how much I liked BF2, I cleaned up my PC..deleting some other games (Joint Ops, America's Army, BF '42). Now... game loads..can get to server list but when I select a server and try to join...crash to desktop! Maybe some files were deleted I need?

If I uninsatll/reinstall will there be a problem with my CD key already being registered?

Uninstalling and reinstalling should have no effect on your key provided you still have the original key that was provided for you.

Uninstall and remove all BF2 folders, reinstall and patch to1.03 and you should be ready to go.

LOL, I couldn't get the uninstall to work nor the add/remove programs feature so I used a restore point...things back to normal now...sorry for the late reply.
