Blue tag bug and are people that stupid??

Played Wake Island for a few hours last night and had someone show with a blue tag, he killed me and he got credit for the kill. Thought he was hacking, but it was just the red tag bug in reverse. Heard the red tag bug happen to the other team as well. I guess it wasn't entirely fixed in the patch.

I've seen some people playing the game and posting on this website complain that they gain ranks with ever few kills. Some people actually think that this will continue. Don't they realize that the system is just catching up to the new rank levels. I actually was playing with people last night who thought they would get promoted 2-3 times every time they played. What rank did they think the game would go to - grand supreme commander of the universe?? Dude it's just catching up.

Also I played USMC on Wake last night - seemed like the Chinese were overpowering. Maybe its just because the level is new and people need to get used to getting out of the choppers and onto the ground.

It wasn't even listed as fixed in the patch unfortunately.

I had it happen to me (showing up red) for the first time since shortly after the 1.02 patch came out. Hope they didn't make it worse.

DiCE said in an interview yonks ago that they were having trouble pinning down the actual code that was causing the problem.

What I find weird is that it seems that the patch has made things worse since it's release regarding this bug?

Sme people have a suspicion that it is caused by people clicking on the "play bf2 online now" button that puts them in a random server.

I'm guessing they will be addressing new CTD issues in a hotfix which will probably come out soon.

Then...they will address those 'hard to figure out' issues and take their time with them and release another patch a few months down the road.

Sme people have a suspicion that it is caused by people clicking on the "play bf2 online now" button that puts them in a random server.

I NEVER use that button and I've beed RED to teammates before.

played for about 2/3 hours last night and didnt see this bug.

Only seen it once or twice before on 1.02 mind

Of course it will, it's in preparation for the new BF2342 expansion pack.

In other news, I think I had the red tagged teammate thing happen last night. Seemed strange as I got credited for the kill and the guy was a sniper aiming towards our lines. First I knew something may be wrong was when I got the "you have been punished" message.

I used to see the red tag bug often in 1.02, but last night while playing, I was seeing some enemies as blue. I liked it the other way around - since at least I wasn't the one dying. :) I was running in to cap a flag, and I saw a blue dude sittin' there... so I thought, "Cool, I'll help him out." BLAM! Shot in the face. I was like, WTF mate? He must have been wondering what the heck I was doing just walking up to him like that.

i just cant belive they didnt fix this, wow, i cant belive it, I've been the victom of this bug twice. I'm really let down and disapointed this isnt fixed

I have seen the red tag bug coming up too. I dont really care if its US vs MEC but against china its harder to tell just by the clothes because they are more similar.

Also yesterday i was swtiched from one team to another after about 20 mins of playing, and i was in a squad. There were plenty of people who werent so i dont know why i was switched.

I hope they make the auto-switch have some lag to it so it gives someone who is joining time to fill the spot instead of switching people. All they need is a 45 sec buffer, after that if the teams arnt even, then switch somene. Everytime i used to get switched to the other side, not 30secs later did another person or 2 join up and teams were even again

I wonder if it has something to do with patching the servers? I remember it being real bad after the 1.02 patch came out, and then got better. Maybe the patched servers have problems until they get rebooted or something.
