    ASE and BF2 1.03

It seems The all seeing eye doesnt work anymore with bf2 since that annoying EA message appeares over and over again presenting me a dead link.
How on earth can i remove the stupid empty message box from appearing again so ASE can connect me to the game....or is is something else?

    Plz help me out here:cry:

Look around the forums. None of us can do it our end. Something on EA's side.

        Either

        a) As soon as the actual link is working and we get to read it, BF2 won't present us with the screen until there's a new piece of news to read.

        b) There will always be 'news' to read and so ASE is gonna have troubles connecting.

If you want to continue usinging ASE for the moment, you can install BF2connector which copies the IP address of the server chosen in ASE into memory and allows to to connect to your server via the "Connect to IP" button.

Ok i will give bf2 connector a try, thx for the advice

But, aint it really weird Ea can force us to see advertisements/updates or whatever? Nobody wants this kind of intrusion, i call it spyware. At least give us an option to disable that retarded ****. (knodding head)

Well the other problem is this...

There are, at the moment, 867 people still playing the 1.0 version of the game and there are more people playing BF2 without the current patch then with it. I'd imagine that some players don't trawl forums like us and don't even realise that there are patches to download. This is where I can see the news feature being useful.

They are not getting the annoying pop-up either since its only part of the latest patch. But you are right, there is a LOT of people playing it that doesn't browse the forums around and find out there is a patch, but I´m pretty sure they´ll find out somehow.
Also my guess is that the guys playing 1.0 might not have spent too much money buying the game since its the only version you can play without a proper bf-dvd.

You're right about that, but they could also make an extra tab just like bfhq which starts blinking when there is important news. It's just plain grazy its having such an impact, expels even,a very common used mp connector suchs as ase. I just dont get it

Oh well, lets wait for a fix, lets hope there will be one.....
