My summary of the new patch

Got it this morning, here's my summary on it:

-You can now see who's in your vehicle by pressing one of the keys to change seats (brings up a little prompt)
-Stat padding is meaningless because ranks are gained so quickly. I went from Corporal to Gunnery Sergeant in minutes.
-Friendly's STILL get TK'ed if your vehicle blows up near them.
-While not as bad as before, being bumped by a vehicle still kills you.
-Collision has some weird bugs with it now. Today earlier on Wake, a J-10 hit a tree head on and rather than exploding, it bounced off it and the pilot temporarily lost control (the plane was spinning all over the place) which looked very odd and amusing.
-Sounds for the MEC Jeeps sucks really bad now.
-Game seems laggier than the 1.02 patch and I'm running a 7800 GTX @ 490/1300.
-Wake Island is NOT as good as the original version. Most of the buildings in this version are not accessible like they were in BF1942. Why they've done this is beyond me, maybe they think it reduces lag or something. Either way don't bet on this map being as fun or robust like the Wake Island you remember.
-Favorites in the browser is bugged. If you refresh your favorites about 5-6 times they eventually disappear and you have to restart the game to get them back.
-Browser is still bugged. If you switch your filter settings and hit refresh a few times, it goes blank and the only way to remedy it is through restarting the game.

Overall a BIG THUMBS DOWN from me. DICE in my mind is becoming a bigger joke as each day passes, we waited months for this trash?

I noticed they sorted the Server Info box, now includes the port number aswell as allowing you to add/remove from favourites.

Ha, I bet if DICE refunded him his $55 purchase price for the game he would bitch about how the ink on the money would turn his hands green....

The problem is they listened to the ****ing whiners and concentrated in things that where good.

They changed them and didnt solve the mayor bugs.

Lack of professionalism.

I really liked the new wake. In fact, I prefer it over the old one. There's alot more infantry to infantry. And it's harder to see, so it's more like jungle warfare instead of desert warefare on an island.

You mean a VIBRATOR?? hehehe... I thought the same. I had the same Browser refresh problem with 1.02. As for the favorites....he probably forgot to click save.

There are some nice touches...like the names for the spawn points...handy dandy.

I did notice...brace yourself for this one...it was WAY to easy to shoot down the BH. Forcing players to get out of the BH was really enough, but lowering the armour was a bad move...or was it because the missiles had better tracking...I don't know but it's effectively rendered the BH's as useless....good but bad on certain maps. Now I just want a bh without guns for Karkand.

I haven't played Wake but I was never crazy about it in the first place. I prefer another Omaha or what was the one with the mountain? hehe.

Lawn mower, it's a riding lawn mower (at least it sounds that way).

Yea, it was cool that they included a new map, pumped up aa, changed some gameplay, etc.

Statpadding - not really an issue since you get all of your unlocks a lot faster. I had ~40,000 points and was looking at about a month for my next unlock but, lo and behold, I got 3 unlocks within 3 minutes of logging into my first game so I just have to decide what not to unlock.

The issue that really ticks me off is the browser, support for 3rd party joining and ad spam. The browser is now more porked than it was before. If you change filters and try to refresh you better cross your fingers because it will likely come back with nothing and you will end up having to restart BF2 to get back to the barely useable browser. Friends in XFire/etc., sorry boys, but you will have to give me the IP of the server you are on. Spam, spam, spam .... maybe a notice that there was updated news on their web site rather than asking that I shut down BF2 after a heinously long loading time to go to a web site that DOESN'T WORK. Supposedly, the link was supposed to forward to the EA site to tell you how grateful you should be that they porked up the browser.

I could go on but will spare your ears/eyes.

This is the first time I've considered looking for another game to play. Maybe I'll just revert to 1942 - at least I know they won't do any more fixing (breaking - wink wink) on that product.

I have been hit full on at full speed about 15 times(done it on purpose) and i have not been killed once.

I think this patch is really good i dont see what you all are complaining about
