I can't seem to install 1.03. Problem is, i have a windows partition which is 6 gigs and XP and only XP alone is installed and has left me only with 1.25 gigs left. So, when I try to install the patch, it tells me I don't have enough space because it thinks my BF2 folder is in there, even though it's installed in my other 160gb partition. Anyone know how to get around this?

start the patch, click on your language and all that and when it pops up with "not enough free space" DON'T CLOSE IT.Originally posted by blitzioI can't seem to install 1.03. go to
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp\
and look for a directory that resembles {486539463-5474673-5473--547438-4346} or somesuch. inside it will be another similarly named directory, and inside THAT will be the extracted patch.
copy those over to wherever you like and run patch.exe "x:\battlefield 2\is\installed\where?\" which will start the patching process.
after that's finished run BF2CDKeyCheck.exe (in the same folder as patch.exe) and make sure your cd-key's encrypted in the registry because if it's not you won't be able to join up in multiplayer. (the registry key is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\ergc)
oh yeah, you can close the patch after you copy the extracted temporary files. lol -

That's because Patch.exe is a command line tool.Originally posted by HazzardI ahve the same problem but its not working the process never starts the windows just pops out for a half of second then closes.
Open a CMD.exe window first and run it from there to see any error messages.
Look here for the command line options of patch.exeComment
