I can't believe I'm reading all those complaints, rants, and whinerposts...
TBH I am very satisfied with the update so far.
Still some open issues to be fixed, but else I am not disapointed at all.


STOP complaining. If you don't like the game, throw it away, sell it or do whatever elso comes to your mind. GO play something else that gives you a good time and puts you in a good mood. Because from what I could see BF2 is not matching this criteria for some of you...

I like the new patch and as other people have said there are still a couple of things that need fixing.

Now all the games i have played today have had a lot more teamwork in them so given easier ranks to get unlocks seems to be a really good thing.

All the people telling people to stop complaining why bother they wont listen to you

This is, as said, not an MMORPG game - it's an FPS.

I don't have to say more...

And you are truly overreacting by saying that you get ranked every kill... I only got one rank in, as I said, 45 minutes.

I just laugh at all the people who have so many medals, stats etc, but when you get in there and play with them, they really dont play like a Squad oriented game that it is...why not just play it how it was designed, as a Squad / Country and see how it all goes.

Oh, and my patch went well and the game seems to be better than it was...

I was miffed at first about getting all the ranks and weapons handed to me after working so hard. But then I realized that now we can just play and enjoy without dealing with point whores and stat padders.

All in all, I am pleased with the patch.

Exactly its an FPS not a MMORPG. That should be put in everyones sig because people fail to realize that.

Why ta hell would you spent 200 hours on a Fing Badge? Just for that, you deserve what you got. Its an FPS, its not about collectional and permanent achievment. Its about getting out there and kicking ass with your friends.

If you played 200 hours just SF just in order to get a digital image 150 x 150 pixels.....which doesnt even reward u with anything..... its sad really.

Agreed. Honestly, grow up. You want to achieve something? Then get down and do push-ups. You'll actually get something out of that.

I agree with the happy people, the new patch is fine. I can appreciate why some people who've dedicated hours to playing the game to reach the unlocks are put out that other people can get them much more quickly now but at least it means that I no longer have to follow someone with an unlocked gun and wait for them to die so I can pick up their kit

Just wish that they'd done something to slow down bunny hopping though...

And while I'm wishing, I wish Angelina Jolie would pop round with some beer & pizza...

I love the patch. Honestly the weapons you get to unlock ,IMO, do not give you much of an advantage over most of the standard weapons. Sure they have alittle more punch but if you suck you suck. A good player will be able to play with any one the weapons they they have availiable. Ranks mean only 1 thing in my mind, comander aplication. if your lower you lose to a higher rank. If your so hyped on rank, work your arse off and get higher so you do not lose your commander spots. Other then that, I see no real change to the game. Work more on squad movements and teamwork.

I found there is nothing more satisfying then being in a good squad. My clan normally has 3-6 people in a server and on 1 squad, we run strats and travel together. We follow orders and cover each other. The objective is to win the round not to get ubber points. I love seeing our squad as the top squad at the end of a round.

These are the things you play for. Its all about the team not yourself

if you dont like it, go back to playing dc where you dont get ANY rewards, medals, ranks, blah blah blah. i put in many hours on dc, something that would probably have earned me every medal and badge imaginable, and i was happy just playing. now that bf2 is more squad based i'm in hog heaven, i'm glad they lowered the requirements becuase i dont have the time to sit there and play 18 hours a day like some jobless, lifeless, loser. if i get to put in 2 hours a day, i cherish those 2 hours and try to do my best. hell, i was tickled to death the other day when i got a purple heart!!! its a effing game, deal with it or play dc. enough said.

That's bullsh!t.

A lot of us are complaining because we put in the WORK to get our rank/unlocks. And now they are handed out like candy. Sad.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I love it how everyone here seems to:

1. have an amazingly good computer to play bf2 perfectly smooth; and

2. care about there stats like it is more important than anything else

Bf2 must be a pretty addictive game, huh

The fact of the matter is that there are still badges and medals and ranks out there for the people who want to go above and beyond and stand out.

Now, there are ranks and weapon unlocks for those of us who can't put in 5+ hours a day. I have played this game a ton since I got it, way more than I shoudl have, and I only had 2 unlocks before the patch. 2. That's it. I never would have reached the 3rd unlock. Now, I have five. It is SOOOO much for us who can't put that much time in.

And drop the "wah! I worked so hard!" It's a freakin game, it isn't a job! I find that rather sad. You should be saying, "I enjoyed myself so hard trying to get these unlocks!"
