Good Sign! I cant even install the patch!!!!!!!!

i have downloaded mulitple patches from diff servers and diff locations many times, i still get this same error everytime i try to install the BF2 1.3 patch. I dont even think its the patch itself but a problem with my windows, because the installation never starts, its duing the install set-up process that it give me this error..........

wow am i the only one this is happening too? i saw a total of one other instace with this on another board.....

this is messed up, what would cause this.

Have you tried deleting contents of TEMP folder??

go into run menu, WINKEY+R, type %TEMP%, press OK and delete everything in there.

It could also be a problem with your InstallShield folder %PROGRAMFILES%\InstallShield Installation Information\ try looking in the folders in there and if you find anything on BF2 patch move it to e.g Desktop and try starting patch again, you could also delete the specific folder in there but I wouldn't recommend it, start by just moving the BF2 specific folder in there.

You can find the one that is pertinent to BF2 by opening setup.ini in each folder. There might be a seperate one for game and for patch not sure.

First, I recommend Spy bot search and destroy, Hijackthis, Ad-aware Personal SE, etc and get viruses and spyware off your computer because thats what I believe is messing with your files buddy. =) It happened to me couple weeeks ago and took a bit of fondling ^_^

my pc is a healthy as ever, ive defragged, spy-bot S&D, Ad-Aware SE, CC Cleaned out temp files, registry is fine. Everything, i even tried to install a new version of IS, InstallShield 11, but that installation corrupted or somethin too, diff reason though i think the file is just corrupt.

I believe it's a problem w/ ur game files.
