    Another thread bitching about the patch...

    What the hell...I haven't played BF2 for 2 months because I have been waiting for the patch to come out..and finally it does.

    I still have that stupid 'There is a problem with your connection' after about 3 minutes of gameplay!!! You think after taking 2 and a half months to make a patch they could get it right!!!

    The following basically surmizes everything:

    Buy game for 70 bucks
    Game fine until EA released the first two "fixes", now it is screwed
    Wait two and a half months for the new patch
    Game still screwed up

    IMO, EA took about a week break from making Special Forces to make this patch and shoved a bunch of easier ranks and a new map in our face so we would ignore the fact that they don't care about the community.

      trying running the punk buster update in the pb folder of your game , this always fixes any connection issues i have . I run this about once a week to make sure its all up to date sometimes more

              I play on DSL that runs download speeds of 300 k/s ...no other game I play online have any connection problems. I am a computer programmer, I understand that things don't always work, but taking two and a half months to come out with a half-assed patch is inexcusable. It really is too bad that gaming giants like EA crush little gaming studios and provide crappy support for their games: all they care about is profit.

                  ive had the game for about a month and a half and have got that error message no more than 3-4 times.
