    X-Fi Settings CRASH BF2- Help!

Just got my X-Fi Fatal1ty. Installation went smoothly.

Fired up BF2. Changed the audio settings to "Creative X-Fi" and "Ultra-High". When I hit "Apply" the game crashed to the desktop. Each time I try setting it for these settings, I find myself staring at my desktop. I do have the card set for "Gaming Mode". I am also running the game with the latest 1.3 patch. Since I just got this sound card today, I never tried it previous to patching the game to 1.3

Update: Tried uninstalling then reinstalling the game plus the patch- didn't work.

    Any ideas?

You will have to reinstall battlefield 2 to get X-Fi to work..... once you reinstall make its in game mode and it will work.

Re: X-Fi Settings CRASH BF2- Help!

A forum user at on Creative's site solved my problem.

He gave me a link to an X-Fi driver update (I had went to the "Auto Updater" which told me there were no updates available). X-Fi users if you are experiencing the same problem and you are using the drivers from the CD, download and install this update and your problem will be solved:
