Creative X-Fi not being recognised

Hi

I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card and it USED to be fine selecting Ulta High X-Fi specific sound mode.

Now either since I upgraded the drivers to the versions on the website OR the move to 1.03, I get told that my card is incorrect?

Anyone have experience of this and fixed it?

Yes I had the same problem.
What I did to fix it was reboot, then change to Entertainment mode, then switch back to game mode. Load the game and Ultra should be in yellow now.

Heh, I was just about to post that I fixed it as well - without rebooting.

The problem was that I too was in Entertainment mode. I only realised when I came out of the game and tried to work out why other apps (such as Yahoo Messenger) now do not pick up my mic.

Noticed it was on Ents mode. Changed to Game mode. Relauched BF2 and all is well with the world.
