So i dl the patch and the first thing i notice that is wrong is that it takes like 5 minutes to load in Bf2 obviously bad.....the next problem is i cannot login with my name....it says failed to connectm, check network connections.....no clue what this means...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help meee.

I would say reinstall.
There may be another solution, but I dont know it.
Some people had to patch a fresh install to get the patch to work right. Maybe you are one of them.Comment

I am having the problem where I install the patch, then when I try and load the game it halts and says to insert the disc. Well the drive has the disc in it. I wonder if there is a problem with driver letter signing. I have heard of this kind of problem in the past with other games. I am in the middle of a fresh install and going straight to the 1.03 patch. Hope that works. I will update if it does.Comment

Impreza, before you go off on ppl trying to help you, pleases understand that absolutely NO ONE HERE works for EA/DICE. That means that these "ppl" are players just like you who have taken the time out to try to help you. Having an attitude like that will get you nowehere quickly.
I too, am having problems and cannot update at all. No one as of yet has a solution.Comment
