I lost my manual...Is it possible to get your cd-key...

Is it possible to get your cd-key via any files, for future reinstall or such? If it ain't I guess I will just have to either keep this one going or buy another copy.

You can call EA, if I'm not mistaken.. I think there is some way to verify you actually bought the game (ie: proof of purchase from the box) and have them send you a new key...

if you havn't patched 1.03 then good luck follow this,

start --> run.. --> type in "regedit"

open up the dir: hkey_local_machine//software//electronic arts//battlefield 2//ergc//

I think the patch may have encrypted the data string, I could have sworn that this is where the key would have been before.

yeah, do click your start menu, go to "run", type in "regedit" then go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<SOFTWARE<Electronic Arts<EA GAMES<Battlefield 2<ergc - in there should be the cdkey, but it looks like mine is all encryped now. hmm...

that might have to do with 1.03 patch, because before it would reveal my key, assuming you have had it installed on your hard drive.

if you've already patched it to 1.03, you may be able to select the data string and export it for safe keeping.

Whenever you reinstall bf2, use some bogus cdkey and after installation has completed and your game has been patched, import the registry file by double-clicking.
